CARB BACK LOADING REVIEW - DOES IT WORK?
Here's the deal on this diet. First you basically go LOW CARB for the first 10 days. Then, after that, day 10 and beyond, it goes like this:
Morning/Afternoon : LOW CARBS
Evening: CARBS, CARBS AND MORE CARBS.
Now of course protein and the proper amount of fat is added in the diet, but the key is carbs.
This kind of diet is not so new, as bodybuilders have been doing variations of it for years. And yes, it definitely works.
The difference here is this diet is set up very easy, and all you have to do is go through an initial "a little over one week" phase and then it's smooth sailing. You actually feel good and don't go crazy with hunger at all. Mentally knowing you can eat a ton of food later in the day works wonders for motivation.
I've done this diet...and it works! It's really one of my favorites that I've done, and definitely one of the most effective.
After you workout in the afternoon, you can have your post carb workout drink. That's the start of the daily carb up. After that you can go for it and eat pretty much what you want. It's all in the timing. Now you can't wake up and have pancakes. Again you have to limit or negate the carbs in the morning and until you get to your workout.
